Working with Make Music Day
Make Music Day - 21 June - is a national and international celebration of music-making. ABRSM contributes to the Make Music Day UK steering group, led by Making Music. Over the years, we’ve organised fun events to add to the celebrations such as the Big City Sing (2017) in partnership with Music In Offices, and the Piano Medley Relay (2018).
In 2020, the Coronavirus lockdown meant that all activities for Make Music Day took place online. For our contribution, more than 700 musicians, from infant school pupils to retirees united virtually from around the world for an online performance of the Disney song, ‘How Far I’ll Go’.
